Truck driver Jessica wins industry award

Sabaton’s famous live shows would not be possible without the incredible team of experts behind the band who keep everything running smoothly.

One team member who always goes above and beyond is truck driver Jessica Thorzén, whose work has now been recognised in the first ever Women in Live Music Awards.

Jessica works in tour logistics and drives Sabaton’s stage rig all over Europe, meaning the band’s shows literally could not happen without her.

Speaking after the award ceremony in London, Jessica said: “I feel honoured just being nominated, and now I won it – I can’t explain how grateful I am!

“A huge salute to the amazing women that started this. I’m very glad to be part of this group of strong women in the live music business, it makes me so proud.”

Jessica has been driving trucks for five years and recently launched her own logistics business. To read more about her adventures on the road, follow her blog.

The Women in Live Music Awards were launched in 2018 to celebrate the increasing numbers of women working in technical and logistical roles in the live music industry in Europe. Read more about the organisation here.
